Support Extended for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

CIT is temporarily extending support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard beyond the planned support retirement date of December 31, 2012.

This extension will allow time for the preparation and testing of backup and antivirus client packages for Appleā€™s current operating system, OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.

When these are complete, users should be able to upgrade directly from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion while continuing to use EZ-Backup and Symantec Endpoint Protection. The packages are expected early in 2013. When they are ready, an update will be sent announcing their availability, a new support retirement date for Snow Leopard, and other details relating to Mountain Lion.

Note: Users should consult with their technical support provider or the IT Service Desk before attempting to install software that could jeopardize computer backups or security, essential components of any computing setup.
