Phish Bowl – email scams

There has been a significant uptick of Phishing attempts in the last couple of weeks so we’d like to point out that IT@Cornell has a website that lists some of these scam emails and also has a list of verified legitimate Cornell-related emails that might initially make you suspicsious.

At the link below are some examples of phishing emails seen on campus. Do NOT assume a suspect email is safe, just because it is not listed here. There are many variants of each, and new ones are being sent out each day.

Warning: Do not explore links or email addresses in example phish shown here. These are real life examples.

Keep Cornell alert! Report suspected phishes to security-services@cornell .edu Be sure to include the entire text of the message.
